Stan owns a tourist trap called the Mystery Shack, located in the town of Gravity Falls, Oregon.

He has an extensive criminal record and is banned from several states across America.

He often gets swept into adventures by his niece and nephew to uncover the mysteries of Gravity Falls

Mabel and Dipper Pines: Stan's niece and nephew were sent up to Gravity Falls to spend the summer with him. Stan often gets
wrapped up in their adventures and problems.
Soos Ramirez: Soos is Stan's loyal employee at the Mystery shack. Soos is willing to do the impossible for Stan and often times joins Dipper, Mabel, and Stan on their adventures.
Ford Pines: Ford is Stan's genius twin brother who has been trapped in an alternate dimension for 30 years after Stan accidentally pushed him in. Stan spent those 30 years trying to get him back.

Bill Cipher: Stan often times has run ins with this extra-demensional demon that resembles the illuminati triangle.
Stan actually erased his own mind in order to destroy Bill when he was in Stan's head.
Agent Powers and Agent Trigger: Stan built a portal to retrieve his brother, alerting Government agents Powers and Trigger who thought it was a doomsday devise. They spent several weeks in Gravity Falls trying to prove Stan was building a doomsday device.
Lil' Gideon: Gideon Gleeful, or Lil' Gideon, is a child psychic trying to put the mystery shack out of business. He plans on trying to take over the town with his charms and cuteness.
