After the death of Superman, Amanda Waller(Viola Davis) assembles a secret black-ops team comprised of incarcerated supervillians to handle problems to tough for the army. Each member has a bomb implanted in their neck to ensure their cooperation. With the sharpshooter Deadshot(Will Smith), crazed girlfriend of the Joker Harley Quinn(Margot Robbie), a boomerang wielding theif, a crocodile man, and a man who controls fire, the team heads off on their first mission.
Chaos erupts almost immediatly as their plane is shot down and they are stranded in the middle of an abondoned city infested with magic creatures. The team encounters several problems with each other, their past, and their purpose as they try to fight of a supernatural force planning to destroy the world. Also, Joker(Jared Leto) is doing everything he can to rescue Harley, bringing more chaos to the mission.
I might be the minority when I say this, but I really enjoyed this movie. Most of the actors were great, and the lighter tone was a nice contrast against the darker tones of previous DC movies. However, I do recognize the problems most people have with the movie. The pacing is all over the place, the use of magic doesn't fit into the grounded universe set up in previous movies. Also, the trailers made us believe Joker would be in the movie alot more than he was. But I enjoyed the movie, and if you go in with an open mind, I think you may enjoy it too.
